stolty Posted August 29, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 29, 2006 My family and I are traveling on the Galaxy in March 2007 (10 nights). I was told that there will be 3 formal nights, 2 semi-formal nights and the rest are casual nights. Can anyone confirm this? If so, does anyone know which nights are which (formal, semi & casual)? reklawr Posted August 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2006 Stolty, I'm guessing you're on the March 16th Galaxy cruise. Here is the way I see it: Fri, Mar 16 San Juan, Puerto Rico Casual Sat, Mar 17 Tortola, British Virgin Isl Formal Sun, Mar 18 Philipsburg, St. Maarten Casual Mon, Mar 19 Castries, St. Lucia Semi Formal Tue, Mar 20 Bridgetown, Barbados Casual Wed, Mar 21 St. George'S, Grenada Casual Thu, Mar 22 At Sea Semi Formal Fri, Mar 23 Willemstad, Curacao Casual Sat, Mar 24 Oranjestad, Aruba Formal Sun, Mar 25 At Sea Casual Mon, Mar 26 San Juan, Puerto Rico Usually the evening of the first full day is formal and the evening of the next to the last full day is also usually formal. The others are simply an educated guess. We'll have to see how it works out when Galaxy starts her San Juan Southern Caribbean cruises.
chessbriar Posted August 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 30, 2006 Since they don't start the 10 night cruises until January there is no way to be certain. We are going in February. At this point X doesn't even know which dock in San Juan she will be using. So I think, it's a while until we know for sure.
beauxdammit Posted August 30, 2006 #4 Share Posted August 30, 2006 Just out of curiosity: What does it matter which nights are which? That mixture of dress code?? is about right so you have to plan accordingly. Hope you have a great time. I think you will enjoy the itinerary. Milford Posted September 1, 2006 #5 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Perhaps you can let us know after your cruise in February, chessbriar. It does matter to some people which nights are formal or not, so that shore time and excursions are planned around getting dolled up for the formal nights.
