Onboard Liquor stores

Anyone recently off a cruise happen to know if X is doing anything special in the way of packaging to protect the liquor bought on board that will have to be packed in checked luggage? It seems to me that a lot of money is being lost because people don't want to pack their liquor (since they can't carry it on).:confused:

It's usually packed in some cardboard boxes which appear to be specifically designed.

 

We have never had one broken in the luggage, but of course, there are no guarentees.
