Hotel at/or close to SJU for Post-Cruise

I"d say depends how long you're staying after your cruise. We stayed in Isla Verde and there are some beautiful hotels there (Intercontinental, El San Juan or Ritz) and the beach in front is very nice. They offer tours through the hotels but overall it is very far to get to alot of the other island beaches or sights. It is a 20.00 cab ride to town one way. That's neither here nor there, you pay it cuz you want to go. But we ended up thinking that next time, we'd stay in another area. Really wanted to see Culebra or Vieques. Hear the beaches over there are phenominal. We got a bit bored from where we were. Stayed for 6 nights total and really could have been happy with 4.

The last time we were in San Juan for a cruise we stayed at the Wyndham Condado. They had a small public beach and a pool, there were a lot of good restaurants that you could walk to and it is not very far from the pier. There are also a lot of other hotels in Condado that would be close to the city and on the water.

Thank you for the input! :) We are looking for cheap and clean since we are leaving on a 7am flight the next morning. The Best Western Link is working now!

Concerning the Best Western , if their website doesnt open try 787 721 1200 and for possible pre-cruise options check out www.***** click on sightseeing and then on expert

Thanks countryside. We booked last night for post-cruise! Pre-cruise we have already booked the El Convento as we have stayed there before.
