How many of use have had the Noronvirus on Royal Caribbean

We've done nearly 30 cruises on about 9 cruiselines and have never gotten it. However, we were on a HAL cruise that had an outbreak...you don't want to be on HAL with norovirus...they put you off at the next port. While it is good for other reasons to use Purell and the stuff lines may provide, these only treat bacteria, while noro is a virus! IMHO Purell, etc, gives people a false sense of security without addressing the issue at all.

After ten cruises, seven different lines we've never gotten sick.

I don't understand how people cannot understand the reason for quarantine. If you're sick with norovirus, you are contagious to others. If you are in the same cabin with someone with norovirus, you can also be a carrier. This is how the virus spreads, from people carrying the germs to other places.

It really sucks to be sick on vacation, but bottom line is that it is just bad luck. When (or if) you contract a virus like this, it's just not fair at all for you to spread it around. The ship handles it the way they do (quarantine, phone calls, checking the cabin) because they have a duty to the rest of the pax and crew onboard the ship. I'm sorry to have to say this, but it is just selfish to disregard everyone elses' health by not reporting your norovirus to the officials onboard.

Also never been sick. Make sure we use hand sanitizer, try not to do handrails also never take the elevator to small of a place.. I've heard of people going cruises with fever and flu bugs because they didn't want to cancel! Crazy and not consiterate of others.

right on their product that it is NOT for VIRUS-es. Folks here think alcohol kills virus infections when it doesn't. And majority of the illness comes from swimming pool & hot tub water that fecal matter is in, from diapers, Depends, or just dirty folks.
