Andee Posted September 30, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 30, 2006 In Casablanca and Tangiers, we engaged a cab driver for the day when we got off the ship. In Casablanca, we took a tour of the Hassan II Mosque, went to the Museum of Moroccan Judiasm, had a driving tour of the city and went to the Medina. In Tangiers, we ent to the Museum of the Kasbah and the Medina.
luvnorway Posted September 30, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 30, 2006 There is quite a bit of recent discussion about what to do in Tangier on the Windstar forum that you might find helpful (re local guides, DIY, recent experiences etc.). Some is on a thread that has "Tangier" in the heading, but some is in other threads relating to particular Western Med itineraries, ships or dates -> if you want to find it, do a search for "Tangier" (without a final "s"). dmk Posted October 2, 2006 Author #4 Share Posted October 2, 2006 I have done a search but haven't come up with anything. If you find out which Winstar forum is discussing Morocco, could you let me know? Thanks.
luvnorway Posted October 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted October 4, 2006 Surprised you had difficulty finding the info, but perhaps this will help. I just went to the Windstar board (under Cruise Lines P-Z) and opened it -> selected "Search this foum" and came up with the threads that mention Tangier. The link to the search results I got is below. The info on Tangier is further down in some of the threads - eg. in the first one that came up, you have to go down to posts #23 -> where the posters start describing what they did in ports. If this doesn't work for you, let me know and I'll try post more direct links. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/search.php?searchid=3876048
