Actually the Dream docks in LaPorte, Tx not Galveston. They are about 35-40 minutes apart. I live 5 minutes from the pier and was wondering when she is returning? The Dream has not sailed from here in months. Not sure where it is now but I know she will be sailing from here in March. Anyone know?:confused:

Hi...The Dream will be in Houston (la Porte) on 7 Oct 06...Leaving that afternoon for Western Caribbean. And will run that trip until in April of 07.

We will be on her 11/25.

Thanks Jim! Helps alot. My parents live in Baytown which is over the big suspension bridge you see from the port. Everytime we go see them on the weekend we ooh & aah at the ship while going over the bridge! Have a great trip and post upon return!

You're correct, here's some photos of where the Dream docks in Houston.

 

For your information, the Dream this past summer has been sailing from Dover England on Baltic Sea cruises, and will do them again next summer.

Next winter, the Dream will not sail from Houston, instead it will replace the Crown sailing South America itineraries.

 

The Crown next winter will transfer to Fred Olsen Cruise Lines.

Is there a ship that is replacing the Dream in Houston for the winter cruises? I know the Port of Houston has plans to add 3 cruise terminals so one has to assume that more ships are coming. When who knows?

The last 7 day Cruise for the Dream from Houston is scheduled for 4/7/2007. It will leave Houston for the last time on 4/14/2007 for its repositioning cruise to the Baltic Capitals itinerary.

I got off the Dream there yesterday and all I saw was cargo containers and oil wells! ;)
