Getting the most of Aruba in one Day/Night

Six adults will be cruising on AOS the end of November to Aruba and wanted to get opinions on the best places to visit for sightseeing, history, shopping during the day and maybe a show or casino with some nightlife atmosphere other than gambling. Is it better to take a ship tour, Island tour or just go out on own. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.;)

For the evening, I can recommend the Aruba Bar and Pub Crawl through the ship. It's basically a roaming party on the famous Kukoo Kunuku bus taking you to multiple bars and just generally having a great time all around.
