Pompano Beach (N. Ft. Lauderdale

Because we're getting in a few days early for our cruise, I booked a room at the Beachcomber Beach Resort in Pompano Beach. It's only supposed to be 20 minutes from Lauderdale, but I'm getting nervous about catching a cab to Port Everglades for the cruise. Has anyone stayed this far out from Lauderdale?? Should I look at changing hotels??

You might consider renting a car. By the time you add up all of the taxi fares, the cost is not that much different and you'll also be able to explore more of the area.:)
