Magens Bay Beach: Cost for Chair rentals/Handicap Access/ Driving Directions

How much for chair rentals at Magens Bay Beach St Thomas?

 

We just rented a car to make the trip. Does anyone have dirving directions from Havensight Cruise Ship dock to Magens Bay Beach?

 

The web site says it is handicap accessible. Has anyone had any trouble navigating the terrain?

Lounge Chairs - $6 ($5 deposit)

When you pick up the rental car they should give you a map and can show you the directions to take; ask if they don't offer ;). From the Havensight area (which is on 30) you'd turn on 313, at the stop light (McDonalds on your left) you turn right up 38. About 1.8 miles after leaving Havensight and along 38 you will turn left up 39 (Donoe Rd). Follow 39 past the intersection it makes with 40 (you stay on 39, it becomes Wintberg Rd.). At the intersection with 42 (Mahogany Run Rd.), turn left. Shortly after passing the Golf Course, you will arrive at an intersection, turn right on 35 (Magens Road Rd.) and that’s it. To return you could take a different route that way you get to see new areas/views.

 

The restrooms and concession have ramps. The sand on the beach is well packed, not the type that you sink into but its still sand. The water has a gentle slope as it deepens and it’s typically very calm.
