Day Rates in FLL

Does anyone know of a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale that offers day rates? Our flight after the cruise doesn't leave until 7 pm and we are looking for a place to leave luggage, spend final day on beach, and shower before flight. Any suggestions?

We are in the same boat (so to speak ;)) when we return from our cruise on December 17th.

 

I called a number of the 'usual suspects' in Fort Lauderdale and all claimed they did not offer day rates - now, I suspect if you ask to speak to a manager, you may get a different story and may be able to work something out, but I just didn't have the energy.

 

Ended up using Priceline to get a room at the Fort Lauderdale Grande for $75 - we figure that even if the room is not ready 'till 3pm, they will store our luggage and we can use the pool and facilities, or take the water taxi to go shopping or get lunch.

 

You may find that using Priceline or Hotwire to book a room for that night will work out just as well as trying to get a day rate.
