Barbados Beach

Was wondering if there was a beach area in Bridgetown close to the pier where the ships come in? We have a tour at 1:00p.m. but was wondering what there was to do there until time to go on our tour. Have never been to the Caribbean before, except to Aruba, and very excited.

The "Boatyard" is a beach right outside of town. There's an admission fee but everything you need is there. Restaurants, bars, water toys, etc. It's worth the $15.00 (or so) entry charge.
