Best photographic oppertunities

I'm a photographer (anything from sports to weddings to landscapes), and will be in Progreso on Decmber 11th on the NCL Dream. I've been to Cozumel too many times to count, but have never been to Progreso.

Need some advise as to where to best utilize my time there. Like I said, I'm a photographer, so I'm looking for some thing to shoot! I've read about the ruins at Uxmal and that sounds interesting. I've been to Tulum, but it's been 8 years ago (and at the time I wasn't a photographer).

So, need some suggestions. Also, Merida sounds interesting too. How does the arctichure looks there? Perhaps I could do Merida at the Progesso stop, then do some ruins at the Playa/Cozumel stop.

Merida for sure. Email this ammeture shutterbug for some examples. I have lots and lots of pics. On the central square there is the Casa Montejo, 1549, city hall 1821 and the Cathedral built in 1561. This large city for the most part preserve and restore their archetectural ambiance..
