CB-Room Backs Elevator - NOISY???

We are looking C711, which backs the elevator - Does anyone have any experience with a room that backs the elevator? We have stayed in C721, which is closeby and really like the aft location.

I'd even be glad for info from anyone who has been on any ship in a cabin that backs an elevator.

No Problems with elevator. Stay away from Doors that go outside. As people let them slam shut day and nite.

I don't have specific info, either, but my experience has been that the cabin least likely to suffer from "mechanical" noise is the one with cabins on all sides (above, below, on both sides, and across the passageway). Any space near your cabin that isn't another cabin is a potential noisemaker! You will hear from those who have never had a problem, but the potential is there. Of course, you could be next to (or below, etc.)the "cruisers from Hades", too, but you might get them to quiet down--a conveyor belt or elevator won't listen to reason (or the Security officer) and might have to wait til port to get repaired.

If you have a choice, why take the chance?

Well we will be in C708 and C710, on Feb 4th. we are near the elevators too and I will let you know if I it bothers us.... I don't think it will though, we are towards the back..
