helen77388 Posted November 28, 2006 #1 Share Posted November 28, 2006 We are going on the Conquest in April, 2007 and are discussing visiting Dunn River Falls. Is it really a two hour bus ride? If so, is it worth it? That would mean four hours on a bus both ways.
2Ports Posted November 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted November 28, 2006 From Ocho Rios, it's more like a 2 minute bus ride; from Montego Bay, yeah, probably 2 hours. Great fun, but I'm not sure it's worth 2 hours on the bus, unless it's part of a combo with a LOT of other stuff.
TennisLover Posted November 28, 2006 #3 Share Posted November 28, 2006 When we were on Conquest, we went to Montego Bay. Great beaches there (we loved Rose Hall Beach). We were pleasantly surprised. When we go to Ocho Rios on Navigator in Feb 07, will definitely go to the Falls. Best place for this info is on the Ports board -- click on Jamaica (mon:D ). yst347 Posted November 28, 2006 #4 Share Posted November 28, 2006 We will be sailing Conquest in January for the second time but we won't be visiting Dunn's River Falls. It is in Ocho Rios and a long bumby bus ride out and back from MoBay. The ship tour will take all day and includes a stop at a tourist shopping center. (the Jamaican version of a Scottish woollen mill for anyone that has taken a coach tour of the UK) I would suggest saving this tour for a cruise calling on Ocho Rios. MoBay has several fun excursions to do, check out the Port of Call board for plenty of info. Don't subject yourself to this trip from MoBay.
