Randyxl Posted July 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2004 We have a party of eight flying into Seattle to leave on the Princess Sapphire. Do you recommend using Princess for the airport transfers ($18 per person each way) or is there a more economical way to get to the cruise ship? morganrp Posted July 20, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2004 We used the transfers in Feb of 2003 and it worked great. The "man with the Princess sign" was waiting as we came to the baggage claim area and directed us to the next Princess rep. We pulled our luggage of the turnstile and moved it the Princess area - about 10 steps away. They took the luggage, we boarded the bus and were off to the ship. Our luggage was delivered to our room. On debarkation - just as easy, but have to take our luggage at the bus and take it through the security at the airport - that took awhile, but am sure it was the airport rules, not a problem with Princess. We have the transfers again for the 8/8 sailing on Sapphire. Decided that the few $$ we would save would not be worth the hastle!! Same as the excursions - save $5-$10 each by booking direct and risk missing the ship if the excursion is delayed or missing the excursion if the ship is delayed!! Peace of mind is worth more that $5-$10!! Judy
isujim Posted July 20, 2004 #3 Share Posted July 20, 2004 Does anyone know if you can purchase return transfers while you are on the ship or should this be done prior to embarkation? This is our first Princess cruise.......with RC you can purchase return transfers for debarkation up to the last day while on board ship..........anyone know if you can do that with Princess? Thanks Jim
