Passing Time - Pier to Airport

Can anyone suggest how to spend a few hours from the time we disembark until our 5:00 flight? Or a tour operator that someone has recent experience with? We've done the Old San Juan touring and Forts. We're thinking we might like to spend the day relaxing at a hotel w/pool & oceanview? Any recent cruisers do a day pass? I've read you can't arrange those ahead of time...........
