czarinahil Posted December 23, 2006 #1 Share Posted December 23, 2006 Our cruise stops on SXM on Easter Sunday and we were hoping to spend the day at one of the nicer resorts where we can relax by the pool/ocean, participate in watersports (jet skis, snorkeling), get a nice meal. Are there any resorts that will do day passes so we can partake in all of their facilities that y'all know of? We are NOT interested in Little Divi Bay because since the cruise ship has excursions there we figure it will be crowded and annoying. Also, driving a distance to the other side of the island is not a problem. Thanks in advance for your help!
gtaylor Posted December 28, 2006 #2 Share Posted December 28, 2006 The only resort that comes to mind is Grand Case Beach Club. I don't believe that they offer jet skis, but they do appear to have a watersports operation located there, as well as a pool and a restaurant that gets some great reviews. I'd contact them by e-mail or phone to determine exactly what they offer to daytrippers. gary p.s. please report back on your findings.

sunlover5 Posted January 2, 2007 #4 Share Posted January 2, 2007 Joyce Prince is booked, heard mixed reviews on Bernard and Victor. We would like to see the island, planes going over beach, and spend time at Orient Beach. Don't really care to shop. Dh doesn't care to get off ship and wait for a van to fill up. If we have to do that, does it take long? How much should we expect to pay?? If we end up at Orient Beach what time should we leave to make it to the ship for a 5:30 departure??? Heard something about the traffic?? If we would stay at Orient Beach and say the others in the tour decide to shop, will they come back and pick us up??? Any suggestions I would appreciate it. Have a heachache:eek: trying to figure out what to do on this island.
