divedude Posted January 1, 2007 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2007  I am an expreienced cruiser (19). Had a miserable cruise because: rules were not enforced as to children in the adult pool, a change of itenerary without notice, and an indifferent staff. Children of any nationality do not belong in the casino, yet to get anywhere on deck 5, one had to pass through the smoke filled casino. :) Cabin staff was good, but we had to ask for ice every day, even though we asked at the start for ice at 4PM daily. Advice: If you are going to cruise on Costa, ask what their policy twards kid is. Ask what percentage of the cruise customers are foreign. :( The Magica is a Carnival ship in layout, meaning to go fore or aft one must go up or down a deck or two to get where you are going, ie. dinner in the Dining room. A real bummer! ;) Cabins are nice, roomy and the verandas allow for peace and quiet if you want some. Never again on a Costa. You can etch that in stone! PH Posted January 1, 2007 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2007 I was on the same cruise and I had a very good time. Yes the children were awful. I saw babies without swim diapers in every pool even the adult pool. That was a big complaint but the only one. The food was very good. I loved my room. Toga night was a blast. We loved the port of Grand Turks, the private island and St. Thomas. Hi Hank!
