AntonJ Posted July 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2004 We're planning on skipping a few dinners (sometimes we eat a late lunch) but wonder what's available to eat late (say after 10:00pm). I know there's a coffee place on the promenade but do they have pizza and snacks that late? Also, how late does the casual dinner buffet serve? Do you have to tell them ahead of time? How much to you tip after this meal? Thanks for the info.
PhoenixCruiser Posted July 22, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2004 Hello :-) The Cafe Promenade is open 24 hours, I think they stop serving pizza around 2 or 3 AM. They also offer wonderful cookies, small sandwiches, and other fantastic desserts. You can also order room service, the only cost is your tip. I cannot remember what time the Windjammer closed, they will have the hours posted in the compass. Service for us in the Windjammer was non-existent (except for cleaning the table after we left), I have heard of others getting beverage service, if we received that, yes we probably would have tipped. You might let your dining room servers and tablemates know that you don't plan on eating there every night and ask them not to wait for you if you don't show up on time. This way they can start ordering. Hope you have a fantastic time :D ###
AntonJ Posted July 22, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted July 22, 2004 I would always tell our server and/or tablemates. I've seen that be a problem in the past. We decided not to worry about rushing to dinner this next cruise so I appreciate your answers. I think the Cafe Promenade will be sufficient especially since we'll probably be coming up the stairs from the casino (looks close). We'll also be trying Chops and Portifinos so that will be two more nights. I must mention that we always tip the full amount for our servers even if we miss a few nights. I feel bad for them when they don't have full tables.
