Help with excursions in Mazatlan

I am having a hard time deciding on with excursion to do on our upcoming cruise aboard the Diamond Princess on April 14. What is the difference between The Best of Mazatlan and Shopping, Beach, Lunch and show tour. We like to take the ships excursions. Is the resort they take you to nice. Is it a nice beach, pool, etc. Thanks

which resort are they taking you to? we did a similar one thru carnival and it was nice..
