Here is a self-test to help you review the role alcohol plays in your life. These questions incorporate many

common symptoms of alcoholism . This test is intended to help you determine if you or someone you know needs to find out more about alcoholism; It is not intended to be used to establish the diagnosis of alcoholism.

my ta got back to me and stated that, it's $40 per person per day and the minimum group size is 30. like stated above, everyone has to get it...i think it sounds like a heck of a deal, but i may not get 30 people! if anybody wants to come along, let me know...;)

When and where? I'm on board and with the money I will save, I will get a Suite. LOL

  • 1 year later...

if people can pay $350 for all you can drink for a week, they are probably going to spend that on booze anyways and get just as drunk or not as drunk(depending on how you look at it) by buying drinks by themselves.

its just a matter of value. the extra $350 might keep college kids away from cruise all together.

I'd love a CC all inclusive cruise. I have so many friends and family that cruise on RCI because of those packages. If anyone ever hears of a Carnival one please let me know at screen name at aol.com.

It amazes me at the judgement some people throw out there when a all inclusive bar card is mentioned. We have a group going on the Triumph in December and we have the bar card. We ARE NOT Alcoholics...and 40.00 a day is not much to spend on drinks a day. A couple of Bloody Mary's in the morning, a few drinks in the afternoon and wine with dinner....there you have your 6 drinks a day.

If you want to judge someone...fine, but before you know the facts about the people that buy into this program keep your judgement to yourself! You may think that everyone that drinks is a alcoholic, well YOU'RE WRONG.

as was stated earlier, $40 a day is not a lot of alcohol in my opinion...especially since we're all in our 20s.

Hince57 -- Last June, I was on the Carnival Miracle with a group (69 people) and we had the open bar card. It added an extra $325 for each my DH and I for an 8 day cruise. And, it was well worth it. You figure if you have three drinks at the pool and one or two before dinner and one after dinner you've spent $40 (and some days especially sea days, we would drink more). I drink the drink specials (Miami Vice, strawberry daquiris, vodkas, Bahama Mamas, etc.) and our deal on our cruise was any drink under $6.50 or $6.75 was covered with the drink card (no special drink glasses which was fine by me cause I don't need to start another glass cruice glass collection). The program was limited to house wines and whiskeys under 12 years and certain cognacs were excluded. If you drink and have a group, it is well worth it ... it probably saved my DH and I $400 to $500.

If you are all in your 20s, BE CAREFUL. You hear all these crazy things about people going over board and doing stupid things like climbing from deck to deck. Keep your wits about you. Drinking and gambling don't mix. Keep off your beer goggles and beer cape and no Superman stunts!!!!

You can tell ... I'm a MOM!!!!
