dei6360 Posted July 24, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 24, 2004 Hi, My husband (of 7 months! :p ) and I are going on a cruise next month. My passport has my maiden name, so I sent it in to get updated. Only thing is, name updates are apparently typed small in the back of the book  -- not where my picture and other ID info is. Do you think I will run into problems? Am I just beig paranoid? :) Should I take my marriage certificate and birth certificate around, too? ( I was hoping to avoid that...) I appreciate your thoughts! :) Jenny
Winston13 Posted July 24, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 24, 2004 My wife and I had similar questions regarding this issue after she got her name changed on her passport. We never ran into a problem and have sailed twice since the change. Typically they just flip to the back of the passport, find the change, and you're on your way. CruiseCATnMACK Posted July 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 24, 2004 I too have a name change addendum to my Passport and have never needed any additional paperwork. The sad thing is there have been many times that no one has even looked at the changed information in the back :o
