booking through certified vacation planner vs. online

Recommended Posts

I'm very new to this and still trying to figure things out. I just booked 2 connecting cabins through a certified vacation planner (866#) because RCI website said to book multiple rooms, you needed to call in. After booking, I went online and saw those same cabins offered, so don't understand why I couldn't have just done it myself online.

My concern arises in that there may be a 55+ discount or other price drop and I can't just call in like I could if I booked it myself online. After booking the cruise, when I asked the vacation planner about if the 55 + discount becomes available, she said I could email her if it did. Will I run the risk of emailing her and her not getting it before it or another offer is no longer offered?
