jmcdon7230 Posted February 7, 2007 #26 Share Posted February 7, 2007 .... Also as far as the jeans issue. There WERE signs in front of all of the specialty restaurants and the Four Seasons and the Seven Seas the specified that "Jeans, shorts, Tank tops, and cutoffs were not allowed for the dining rooms after 5:30p.m." ..... Are you sure about this? On the 1/23 cruise the signs did not mention jeans. Many people wore them in the main dining rooms during the evening meal, especially early in the cruise when it was cold in New Orleans.
jaguar71165 Posted February 7, 2007 #27 Share Posted February 7, 2007 Leaving New orleans while it was cold on 1/28 they did not enforce ANY dress codes for Sun night but for the rest of the cruise the Host/Hostess' informed guests of the dress code which includes no jeans after 5:30pm
jetskier Posted February 8, 2007 #28 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Most of the changes were cosmetic. You could see a lot of carpet fuzzies. The only mention of formal night was just a note in the Dailies saying about having your photo with the Captain. It did not state formal. On the five day sailing we were late because a pilot was not available at the mouth of the river. The second delay was for a freighter to come down river at the big turn. Downstream traffic has the right of way. There is a traffic light at the turn at the Coast Guard post. One thing I have to say about NCL over CCL is that you actually got to see the Cruise Director, Asst CD and Hotel Director about the ship throughout the day. The one downside is the bedding is hard and not as comfortable as on Carnival. Dave

Did the signs include the word "jeans" or did the host/hostess verbally inform guests of the dress code because the signs did not include the word "jeans"?
