Cruise lines for Glacier Bay cruising?

I have never sail HAL or Princess before. I wondering about the differences between the two?

 

I am are looking at a 15 day cruisetour on Island Princess in a

VS-suite starting in Fairbanks and ending in Vancouver.

 

Also, looking at a 14 day cruisetour on the Statendam in a S-suite starting in Fairbanks and ending in Vancouver.

 

I know the Statendam is older than the Island Princess. I would like to know about the Princess lodges compared to HAL choice of hotels?

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
