Pvp - Cvs?

Personally my experience is when I called and spoke with a regular Carnival rep they didn't give me the best deal although they did try to sugarcoat it. I called my pvp and she gave me a deal for the same cruise for $300 cheaper plus the upgrade, the Carnival rep was going to give me the upgrade without the discount...so after that I decided I will stick with her from now on.

Diffence between-

Personnel Vacation Planner and Carnival Vacation Specialist?

Sorry, if its already been asked. I didn't see it.

Happy Cruising !

PVP is your assigned Carnival vacation planner and the one who sends you updates via email etc.

CVS is the person who answers the 1-800 Carnival number and while they can offer the same options as PVPs, they are less familiar with you and you are much less likely to ever hear from them again.

My PVP was promoted to supervisor and all of a sudden I stopped receiving the promotions and he did not answer my emails. So, I called him and that was the message on his voicemail. He recommended another girl but she was not in so I called the 800 number. That was a mistake and the fellow put me on hold and left me there so I hung up. I believe he actually hung up on me. He had my phone number but did not call back. Now I am looking for a new PVP that is great. I feel bad that I lost my old one as he had been great. Probably the reason he is a supervisor now. I would definitely recommend finding a good PVP and staying with them.

glendale, you can't do that. a big "no-no." hosts are going to have to delete your post in all likelihood.

op -- pvps are in maktg dept. cvs in a different dept. pvps call you; you call cvs'. not sure if glendale has a pvp or a cvs, because the e-mail designation is different than mine.

for my cvs it's: name @ carnival.com (like glendale's)

for my pvp it's: name @ carnivalpvp. com 9intentionally leaving spaces so it doesn't register like a false link).

both get the same deals.

I have a wonderful PVP, she was recommended to me by someone that we met on our cruise, he told me that she calls him with pricing updates and she was wonderful so I gave her a try and she booked our upcoming Liberty and our Celebration, she was absolutely wonderful. If you would like her information you can email me at talie828 at hotmail and I will get you her info. She is usually there and if not she answers voicemails and emails almost immediately

I guess I am still confused?? I still get emails from an old pvp who I would never book with again. I called and got a hold of a great gal, she gave me her ext. etc. After I booked a cruise the price lowered, I called her ext. and she gave me the price drop. I don't know if she is a pvp or cvs. I have never received an email or anything from her only my old one. How do you know what they are? I got my first one by just calling the 800 # and he was a pvp. Hope this makes sense. Thanks!!
