Economical pre-cruise transportation

I am trying to figure out the most economical way to transport my family (group of 8) around Miami before the cruise. We will need to go from MIA to the hotel (Solara Surfside), then from the hotel to the port. Which would be cheaper taxis or limos???:confused:

 

 

Also, after the cruise, we plan to get a limo and do some sightseeing. So questions.... 1) what time will we be off the ship (Triumph)? 2) Our flight leaves at 2:55pm, will 10am or so be too early to drop off our luggage at the airport and check in, before going back sightseeing??

A taxi cost my wife and I $24 (fare only) to go from MIA to Sheraton Biscayne Bay Hotel. I hope this will help a little.
