Promenade vs. Inside adjoining cabins on Explorer of the Seas

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of changing my two inside cabins, which are NOT adjoining on Explorer of the Seas for two adjoining cabins. I have a choice between either an inside cabin, category L in the far back of the ship (7473 & 7475), or two different promenade rooms. We could have 6575 & 6577 or 7261 & 7263. Now the promenade rooms are closer to the front of the ship.

Our family has never been on a mega ship so we really don't know much about the Promenade or their rooms. For example if we have such a room will it be more noisy than an inside room in the far back of the ship?

My husband, myself and my two girls (17 and 13, respectively, at the time of travelling) will be travelling on this trip.

What are your recommendations?

Thanks so much in advance :)

Teri

7261/7263 without a doubt.

You will have a great cruise in these cabins - great view of the Promenade during parades, and to just people-watch other times.

Just be aware that others can look into your cabin, too. Keep the curtains closed whenever you don't anyone seeing what you are doing! ;) :) :D

Our family has always gotten the two adjoining promenade rooms, and we've really like them:

Here is a pictures of our rooms:

We’ve had these rooms on EOS, MOS and AOS and all were adjoining. With the second adjoining room it makes the cabins feel much bigger. With the door open we're able to walk freely back and forth, and have access to the other bath room.

I don't think noise will be a problem, the only noise that was heard from out side was the show that went down the middle of the ship a couple times through out the week. Other then that, noise was not a problem. If I had to choose between a normal interior room and a promenade room we would take the promenade hands down. With the big bay window, you really don't feel like its a interior room.
