cruiseangel2006 Posted February 8, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Just wondering if anyone has seen promos where kids sail free on Carnival. If this is listed somewhere on a forum I apologize, couldnt find it! MSC is offering "kids sail free" on their cruises, even in Europe. We are booked on Carnival and paid a reduced fare for them as extras in the room but no child rate. Just checking! Thanks, Marci
DqALEX Posted February 8, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Maybe on Costa, I have never seen it on Carnival
CruiseHobbit Posted February 8, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Right now Disney is running a special on their 14 day transalantic this coming May. Kids are only $99. Not a bad price, I figured that 4 could cruise for under 4k. That did not include airfare back, which you would need.
caribbean dreams Posted February 8, 2007 #4 Share Posted February 8, 2007 NO, Carnival never has a "kids sail free" special.
DAO Posted February 8, 2007 #5 Share Posted February 8, 2007 I believe as long as the child is still inside "momma", there are no additional charges. This is good because rumor has it that many children start their life on cruises.:D
mrdood Posted February 8, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 8, 2007 Short answer: If it breathes, it pays on Carnival.
streaks23 Posted February 8, 2007 #7 Share Posted February 8, 2007 We took our three kids (under 18) on the Triumph January 2000 for port charges only - to me, that's free. You could take up to three kids "free", under 18. I haven't seen the offer since, hower. We had a blast - all five of us - in the same inside cabin. Created memories of a lifetime. So much fun :)
streaks23 Posted February 8, 2007 #8 Share Posted February 8, 2007 We took our three kids on their first cruise(under 18, at the time) on the Triumph in January 2000 for port charges only, which to me - is free :) Haven't seen the offer since on Carnival - Costa, yes. We had a blast - all five of us in one inside cabin - so much fun. Memories of a lifetime.

This is good because rumor has it that many children start their life on cruises.:D Start their lives on a cruise. 4 years ago my wife and I went on a cruise. We (mostly me) had decided 4 kids was enough. I bought her a cute puppy and a cruise, and I got a vacectomy. The next week was the cruise. We had a great time and came back pregnant! I did not listen to the dr. who said to use safe methods for a month. Best thing I ever did. We now have a 3 yr old, but I did not name him Celebrity Century! jetskier Posted February 9, 2007 #11 Share Posted February 9, 2007 It is real simple as to why not. Most ports charge fees based on passenger numbers onboard. Because little bouncy Bobby is a passenger, the fee has to be paid to the port. This means this fee is passed on to the passenger. Dave
