I need help....

Recommended Posts

I'm getting discouraged, looks like we may be cruising Disney again. Has anyone been able to put an 8 1/2 year old in with the 9-11 year old kids group on RCCL?

I'm traveling with 3 kids (2 of which are mine). 8 1/2 and two 10 year olds. I know the youngest will not be happy if he's separated from the other two. In May they let him move up, but at that time he was 7 3/4 and my other son was 9. So they both were in the 8-9 group.

This is taking all the fun out of my cruise planning. :( We were shooting for end of January '05 for this one.

Hang on.......might be a problem after all. RCI will try to accomodate you but will not guarantee it. It depends on the cruise staff, how many kids are on the ship, which ship, etc.

Sorry to burst your bubble but I'd do more checking. In the summer months they tend to stick to the rules more as there are large amounts of kids aboard.

I realize there's a chance it might not happen..and I'll have to tell my 8 yr old he may not get to be with the other two. We're sailing in Janaury though, taking the kids out of school to avoid the school breaks, etc. Maybe there won't be such large amounts of kids then. :)

I have another suggestion. If you can't move the younger child up, will they allow you to move the older two down? Just a thought because I know Carnival allows that.

Beth

I think they probably would...from what I've been reading. Not sure the two 10 year olds would be happy in the 6-8 group, though, ya know?
