sailing06 Posted February 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2007 Hi, Okay, give me the low down. Which islands had the best tropical fish, and reefs for snorkeling among Cozumel, Grand Cayman, or Jamaica? Do you know the best excursion for this? Thanks
H2Otstr Posted February 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 10, 2007 Never been to Grand Cayman, but Jamaica is not very good, Cozumel is very good and Belize is great; 2nd largest barrier reef in world.
wants2cruisemore Posted February 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 10, 2007 Grand Cayman- we snorkled about a half mile from the ferry port. It was very fun and we snorkled over the scuba divers. Not too much fish but husband was quick to get out as he claims to have seen a shark. LOL. Didn't keep the rest of us out of the water. We did not do an excursion, just walked out by a snorkel shop. My sister & bro-in-law Scuba'd in Mexica (Costa Maya) and was not impressed. But I have heard Belize is wonderful. But in Belize I would do the Cave Tubing. Jamaica, not good. Go to Dunn's River Falls if you stop in Ocho Rios. This is a must. Do not get a tour guide, they make your group hold hands= man on our cruise broke his foot. Have a great time!
