Thanksgiving sailing and Kids

Thinking of booking a b2b on Noordam Nov 10th to Dec 1st.

That includes Thanksgiving.

Does anyone know if the ship will have a lot of kids onboard. Is there anyway to find out? Would HAL have those numbers?

I like kids but I'm looking forward to a very relaxing vacation. :)

You can call ship's services at 1-800-541-1576 and ask them to give you the numbers of kids on your cruise(s). Bon Voyage:) I would wait until a little closer before the cruise to get an accurate count.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I have another question while I am thinking of it.

Does anyone know if you can cancel a cruise after you have booked it?

If I book it today and then come to find out a little later down the line that the ship will be over run with little ones, what recourse do I have?

As you can tell, I am so new to this cruising stuff that I need help in every area.:o

Thanks for any information you can give me.:)

You can cancel without penalty up to final payment date which is 75 days prior to sailing. As to the Nordam Nov. sailings, I'd think it unlikely the ship would be a lot of kids on 10 day cruises during the the school year.

We were on the 2006 Noordam Thanksgiving cruise and I think there were around 180 kids. I agree with the previous poster who said to call Ship Services as the cruise gets closer. They can give you an exact count broken down by ages. I was surprised at the amount of kids on our cruise because the kids missed several school days since it was a 10-day cruise.
