Tap water served in Costa Magica dining rooms? - Rumor Control, Please

Hi all,

 

I keep on hearing rumors that there is no "free" water served in the dining rooms on the Costa Magica (US Caribbean Sailings)?

 

Can anyone enlighten me with the straight scoop?

don't beleive everything you read on the internet!

 

just a rumor.

 

tap water, ice tea, coffee included w/ dinner.

 

bottled water extra (which is pointless since the tap is purified desalinated thru reverse osmosis)

Yup, I'm not that gullible, and after plenty of cruising thought it would be utterly ridiculous if it were true, but when CCritics's own ship review stated "Free water will not be served at mealtimes; your only option is bottled.", I thought it was worth tossing up the question.

And, I'm with you on the reverse osmosis, too!

Finally, the source.

 

from reading the review i gather it was a european sailing and from a while ago.

 

it also states "Many of the attributes discussed in this review will change when the ship comes to the United States for the winter"

 

perhaps CC will put a correction note on it.

 

but the no water issue could still be true for european sailings.

And the children are welcome to milk (chocolate or plain). The water issue may indeed be limited to Europe.

We are considering a European trip--so is it true that you cannot request free tap water on European cruises? If you sign up for the super duper X1 package does that include water?
