COMBO TOUR Merida & Dzibilchaltun

We were looking at this tour through the boat which includes Dzibilchaltun ruins with mexican buffet and horse show. the price is $64 per person. DH likes the part with ruins and mexican buffet, he wants to try real mexican food. I would like short tour of Merida then go to ruins. Both of us could skip horse show. Does anyone know if we could get some type of tour arranged when we get off the boat that would offer merida, ruins and taste of mexican food. We are in port from 12pm to 8pm. Also DH said he likes going through boat because they offer tour guide, will they have tour guides to stay with you through merida and ruins?
