Steam and Sauna on the Star

Before our cruise I had seen on posts that there was a new charge for the spa. $15 per day or $78 for the cruise. I had even called NCL for clarification but was told that the policy differed by ship. The Dawn in 2005 had no such charge and the spa was mere feet from our mini-suite on deck 11.

To my great delight, while on the Star their policy is $15 or $78 BUT only applies to the center pool area and whirlpool (free before or after a spa treatment). The steam and sauna areas are still FREE to all and as great as ever. Sitting in the sauna with calming music being piped in and the sound of the ocean as part of the music was more than calming.

The guys side also has a cold and a warm plunge pool plus lockers and showers. The women's side has no plunge pools but has a great lounge area instead that looks out the back. (I took the sail day tour...)
