November in Florida?

We have not been to Florida in November and I'd like to know what the weather is like. We'll be going down a day early for our cruise (Port of Miami) and probably staying a day or two after. Will we want to hang out on the beach? or is it too cold for the beach/swimming? The last time we took the kids it was April and they loved it. Should we plan to do something else, and we won't have to find a hotel close to the beach?

We have been to Florida the last three years, all the same time, the first week in December. In 2004 we went smimming, wore summer clothes and needed no jackets at night. In 2005 you needed a sweatshirt and long pants during the day and a winter coat at night. This year, 2006, the weather was rainy and damp. I really think you will have to wait closer to your trip and check out the 10 day. Floriday weather is very changeable.

November will be great. The humidity will be out of the air. The nighttime temps should be around 70 F. The weather changes in October from brutal heat and humidity to balmy breezes and outside temps that make being ouside a pleasure not a chore.

You will be able to enjoy the beach, it should be similar to April.

That's how locals look at it anyway.

DH and I live in Florida and November is a welcome relief from the long summer heat and humidity. It can have a chilly day or two, but that's unusual; mostly beautiful. Enjoy!
