Best Camera Bag for Carribbean?

I'm looking for a medium sized camera bag large enough to hold a Canon Rebel Xti w/battery grip and 300mm lense attached, and another lense. The problem is, just about every camera bag in the world is BLACK.. I can't imagine myself in the heat and humidy carrying around a big black camera bag.

 

A possible alternative is to just wear the camera on a neck strap and let it swing around and bang into things all day, but I'm not sure if a black camera in direct sun is a great idea either.

 

I could also get my wife to carry my camera stuff in her bag but I don't think she'll be too happy...

 

I'm really stumped. What does everyone else use for a camera bag while in the carribean?

I use a Pelican roll-on for my equipment to get to the ship. After that, I just use a regular Eddie Bauer daypack to carry the camera and a couple of lenses (it doesn't look like I'm carrying camera equipment). I have a beanie and gloves in the bottom that work well as padding. The sun and heat aren't really a problem as long as you don't just leave it sitting in the direct sunlight.

 

I am thinking about getting a photo-specific backpack for onshore use, but haven't narrowed it down too far as yet. The bags from Crumpler are interesting because they don't look all that much like a camera bag.

 

BTW the Eddie Bauer backpack was $24 at Target!
