I'm all over long..to hide all my imperfect parts..skirts, and georgette carwash palazzo(pants)..work for me..with camis, and always the lovely jacket..I do have nice..ummm.under neck area:D ..and I fill that up with jewelry..love to mix/match, and buy with that in mind...never a repeat in 35 days of cruising since last fall..I looooovvvvvve it..but I'm a girly girl nose to toes. Fab for those who have great legs etc...rather see them in a shorty glitzy dress than not nice at all . now.... where's that carpenter that is adding on a room that will become a closet???

Cocktail dresses are considered formal wear. A formal dress can be long or short. It depends on the style and fabric to make it formal. I think alot of folks get formal mixed up with black tie which is the most formal of all manner of dress. For a black tie event a ball gown is usually in order.
