Your experience? - Sewage pump noise on Star or other ship

Recommended Posts

I typed up this tread and then deleted it thinking that it was a waste of time but then my daughter suggested that maybe it would help future cruisers.....

We are just off an overnighter on the Star - Vancouver to Seattle. We had cabins 9062, 9060 & 9058. Every 1/2 hour (even through the night) we heard and felt what I think was a sewage pump running for 5-10 seconds.

Certainly not a big deal for a 1-nighter but if we had been on a longer cruise I would have been unhappy. Seemed pretty loud @ 2AM.

I've been on the Spirit and the Sun and never experienced this. Were we just unlucky and got our cabins "on the pipe"? A Star problem? Or happens on all ships?

We were a group of 9 (3 moms + 6 kids) and it was a great getaway:D
