hyperplanner Posted May 28, 2007 #1 Ā Share Posted May 28, 2007 Has anyone taken the Greyhound bus from NJ to Manhattan? I would greatly appreciate any advise.
mandabear Posted May 28, 2007 #2 Ā Share Posted May 28, 2007 Only once, and it was a LONG time ago... I caught the bus at the Greyhound station just off of Rt. 73 in Mt. Laurel (I think it's Mt. Laurel, it's right near the entrances to the Turnpike and Rt. 295). It wasn't a bad ride, but it wasn't any faster than driving. I think you can also get the bus in Camden NJ at the Transportation Center...but depending on the time of day, I'm not sure I would recommend that. You'd be ok in normal working hours, 9 -5, but I wouldn't want to be walking around with my luggage, money, and travel documents in Camden at any other times. hyperplanner Posted May 28, 2007 Author #3 Ā Share Posted May 28, 2007 Thank you so much for your reply. May I ask what time you think I should catch the bus? My ship departs NYC at 4pm. I was thinking on catching the 10:30am which arrives Manhattan at 12:10pm.
mandabear Posted May 28, 2007 #4 Ā Share Posted May 28, 2007 I would assume that the 10:30am would be fine. Even if you are going on a weekday, you'll be well past rush hour. I'm just not sure how long it will take to get to whatever Pier you sail from, so you might want to check that out. Happy sailing!
