Oh my, where to start. Great trip. 8th cruise, 6th on Carnival.

FOOD - Excellent,,,,,especially for lunch,,,,,puts RCL to shame.

CABIN - Noisy !!! We never had a cabin where we could here the people above us and next to us. Not complaining, just worth mentioning.

DINING ROOM - We didn't like where our table was located. We were going to asked to get it moved but decided not too. We had 4 tables mates who were alot of fun. Every night we were the last to leave our section of the dining room. SERVICE was really slow the first night but improved throughout the week. Very little entainment. We have been on ships where they entertained every night.

ACTIVITIES/CASINO = Activities were good. Casino wasn't paying out much, at least us. Lost $$$$$$$$$$, well husband did. I only lost about $100.

DECOR - OK, been on prettier Carnival Ships. My own opinion now (and quite a few others on the ship),,,,,,,UGLIEST dining room I have ever seen in 8 trips.

SERVICE - Fantastic

CRUISE DIRECTOR - He was pretty good, not John Herald (sp?) but good. At least he had new jokes we never heard before.

We never sailed to NY and I was so worried about missing the ship. We drove up from Baltimore,,,,,,,,,,,,what a breezed.

EMBARKATION/DISEMBARKATION - Not bad at all. We did early walk off yesterday. We were all the way at the tail end of the line. People kept coming down the stairs and elevators and just butting in line. They released the line at 9:15am and we were in our truck pulling out at 9:45am. Had those people not been butting in we would have probably saved another 10 minutes or so and that is with us at the end of the line that took up almost 3/4 of a deck.

LOVED THE TRIP, CAN'T WAIT TO GO AGAIN.

Oh, one disappointment. I know it doesn't matter to most people but we bought a sword for our grandson. It is hard fining souveniers for kids. I did this in the past for my other grandson with no problem. They wouldn't let me bring it on the ship. Now, you can check in booze, knives, those things to poke/catch fish with etc when you get back on board but they won't let you bring it on board even if they hold it until the end of the trip. They said it was posted,,,,,,,,,and it was,,,,,,,,,on the 1st FL. Hard to see when you take the elevator down to A level. Unless you got off on 1 you don't even see the stupid sign.

Happy Sailing to everyone.

Hi, we're going on the Miracle on 6/28/07. Were the seas rough at all on your trip? I saw the reviews from 2 weeks ago and it was posted that the seas got really rough on the way back. Thanks for the review!

Trying again, I sooo hate when the post just disappears!

I'm glad to read your positive experience. It seems every trip is getting better and better. My time will soon be here.

Can you tell me a bit about your drive? We'll be driving up from Southern Maryland and anticipate a 4 hr drive. What was your experience with time? Did you find any detours or construction that slowed you down? Did you find ample parking (hubby is worried about that one)? I want to avoid that whole early arrival hord of people and would like to arrive by 1pm. What do you think?

Yes, the water did get a bit rough on Sunday for about 3/4 of the day. The winds were 44 knots (whatever that is,,,I know it was windy). On Friday the water was real rough all day. They cancelled the evening show because they didn't want the dancers to get hurt.

The trip to NY was great. I was worried about that. We left 6:30am. We stopped once in NJ for pottie. We were up there by 9am so we didn't take the exit for the Lincoln Tunnel. We went to Hoboken NJ and found a gas station and got gas cheaper than down here. Then we went to a little diner across the street and had a great breakfast.

We left the diner somewhere around 10:30am. The ride through the tunnel took about 15 minutes due to traffic. Once out of the tunnel it took about 10 more minutes. We followed the directions off of the Carnival Website. There were signs to the port. Parking was very ample. We got a good spot right near the elevator to go down into the terminal. As we were leaving and returning I did notice alot of empty parking spots so there were more than enough.
