San Juan Hotels

I have booked 40 rooms for our group at the Holiday Inn Express in January and need some opinons. The people I am cruising with don't need anything fancy, just a place to sleep. Since I need a block of rooms Priceline is not an option. Most of the hotels that many people have said they are getting $59-$89 for on priceline qouted me around $200, way more than my group wants to pay. Has anyone else ever stayed at this hotel or booked a group at a San Juan hotel for less than $125 in January?

Please help me!

Since it's high season, it will be more difficult to get a great rate. The hotel won't want to give out that many rooms at a large discount- kinda like FF miles on planes. If you're OK with it, try splitting the group up to 2 hotels side by side or close proximity for 20 rooms a piece. Also, tell the group manager to call corporate or whomever he has to to get your rate approved. Don't stop at your first answer for sure. Good Luck!

Betsy7060...We have also booked the Comfort Inn for our October pre-cruise. Have you stayed at this hotel previously? I haven't read anything negative about the hotel...just wondering about the area it's in...we have never been to San Juan and do not know the area. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
