cayenneblue Posted June 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 4, 2007 What are the biggest headaches with purchasing Secondary, as opposed to Primary coverage? If you have Primary, do you still need to pay up front if something happens, and just wait to be reimbursed? I have decent overseas coverage through my health insurance, but I think that I'd have to pay the costs up front (which I'm sure "could" be a lot) If so, I'd hate to have to wait for my health insurance to decide what to pay me before submitting for the secondary trip insurance. Of course Primary seems to be twice as expensive as Secondary, so that's something to consider...... Also - what's typical for medical and medical transport costs for the Caribbean? I'm past the timeframe for pre-existing, so that's not something I'm considering when choosing plans..... How DO you decide??????
