Alaska Souvenirs--placemats?

Normandie

Recommended Posts

I am thinking ahead as to what sort of souvenirs to look for during my trip to Alaska. On other trips my favorite item has been plastic coated placemats depicting scenes of the area--extremely easy to pack and also inexpensive. Can any recent cruisers tell me if they have seen something like this in the shops?

Yes there are many various photos on the laminated placemats. They can be found at many gift shops, Wal-mart, etc. Prices run from $1.66 to $2.00.Great gift item or for your own use...and they won't break in your luggage.

Yes a wonderful idea. Plenty around in the shops. If you get to Wal Mart- I always buy a load of Alaska Jack chocolate bars- less than $1.50 each. Great for co workers, kids, etc and nice artwork on the wrapper.
