Alternate menu?

I have read on here, and certainly didn't know it on my past cruises, but it seems if you are in the dinning room and nothing on the menu looks good to you there is an alternate menu?? How do you get the alternate menu? On my last cruise my mother ate of the children's menu several nights. lol Our waiter was a doll and after she didn't see anything she wanted on the regular menu one night she ordered off the childrens, from then on out if he seen she wasn't looking too interested he just handed her a childrens menu. However, I would love to be able to offer her the suggestion of the alternate menu. She does need to live a little and try new things but I'm afraid she never will. lol We will be on Glory in August if that makes a difference. Thanks!

There is not an alternate menu, you can substitue filet mignon or chicken for entrees any night, or the kids menu, but you are aware of that.

 

...other substitutions may be possible, you will have to ask.

On the Triuimph the alternate menu was printed as part of the daily menu. It always had a steak, grilled chicken, shrimp cocktail, salmon, cheeseburger, french fries, baked potato, white rice, fruit cocktail and I think a few more.

I do believe the new Carnival menus have been posted (somewhere on here) and each night on the main menu there is list of alternative selections that can be ordered instead. Things like chicken breast, caesar salad, etc.
