We will be sailing on the Grand Princess, Nov. 10 out of Ft. Lauderdale. Can any fellow cruisers please suggest a decent hotel for an overnight stay. Looking for something with shuttle service to the port and perhaps a mall and restaurants within walking distance. Looking at $150 for the night. Don't need fancy spancy...but would like clean!

Thanks for your help. Happy Cruising wherever you cruise:)

We are staying at the Quality Suites for $79 plus tax with shuttles from airport and to pier in Nov. There is also the Amerisuites and you can usually book through valuetrips.com for decent price. Also might try Extended stay but will have to provide your own taxi. These places are all close to food and little malls within walking distance.

I booked a room at the Hampton Inn Plantation. It is supposed to be right across from a mall and there is also a Super Target within walking distance as well as another outdoor shopping mall with restaurants.

We booked directly with the hotel and we were quoted $139/night for November.

The hotel has a free airport and port shuttle services and also a free breakfast is included.

There have been quite a few threads regarding this hotel ~ use the search feature to locate them. All the reviews I have read about this hotel have been really good.

Hope that helps!

Hi, we are on the same cruise and also booked the Hampton Inn in Plantation, shuttles included, mall nearby, several restaurants all within walking distance. Great reviews on trip advisor, and recommended on this board. Hope this helps!
