beach front ft. lauderdale

I will be coming to ft. lauderdale 2 days early before I cruise, I am looking for a hotel on the beach and not too expensive, any ideas, thank you in advance..

Hotel on the beach in Ft Lauderdale, you'll pay top dollar. Check out hotels directly on Hollywood Beach, a better value. ;)

Beachfront hotels are pretty expensive in that area. For the weekend that I am looking at (3/8/08) for 3 star hotels I couldn't find anything under $300. I tried priceline and got the Sheraton yankee trader for $130. I would recommend priceline, it seems to drop the price down to reasonable rates. Good luck!

I too got the Sheraton Yankee Trader by using priceline. We got it for a Friday and Saturday night in December for $100 dollars a night.
