credit card

Recommended Posts

Okay! I pay for all purchases on board at the end of the cruise, but what happens if I want to make a cash withdrawal at the casino for example, will I just be charged the one off interest on this money.

You get charged an additional 3% - but instead of it showing as a cash advance on your credit card, the total that you have on your cruise card at the end of the cruise gets charged back as a purchase (so no additional interest depending on how your credit card works --- it doesn't get charged as a cash advance).

Cash withdrawals are treated like a purchase as well - so taken off your credit card at the end of your cruise.

However, you will be charged 3% of the withdrawal, (ie. $3 for every $100 taken out) which also goes off your credit card at the end.

Best to take lots of cash with you if possible and keep it in the safe in your room.
