Private vans at Fiord/Iceland ports

We are on the Sept 2d sailing of the Grand Princess - ports are Bergen, Geiranger, Torshaven, Akureyri, Reykjavik, Quqortoq and St John's NF. Has anyone recenty returned from these ports who can tell us if there were vans at the dock offering private tours? We found these in Gibraltar and Halifax and had wonderful experiences. Also, any interesting things to do on your own at any of these ports?

I did not see any tours offerd at the pier in Norway and Iceland.

Many of the port are quite small and the number of vehicles is limited.

http://www.geirangertaxi.no/ for example has just three vehicles at all. Nevertheless you should be able to prearrange a private tour at every port you desire to do so.

To do on you own:

Bergen: big city, many museums, old wooden houses, a lot to see

Geiranger: hiking, church, centre

Akureyri and Reykjavik: interesting towns, yet the major sights of Iceland, i.e. the nature, can only be reached by tour or with a car
