Nice Place to have Dinner in Miami

We will be in Miami the day befor our cruise and would like to know where a good place to have dinner would be. We are staying at the Hyatt on 8-28 and really don't want to try and fight crouds in South Beach (MTV Awards are 8-29 in South Beach). Any sugestions?

You can try going to Bayside Marketplace in Miami. It's a nice outdoor mall with chain stores but local ones too. There are a few waterfront restruants there, including a Hard Rock Cafe and there is usually shows going on.

If you do take a taxi there, make sure you ask the Hyatt to call one for you as our hotel warned us about the taxi drivers there. Make sure you take the drivers business card too, to call him when your finished as taxis usually only pull into the marketplace to drop people off.

I'd ask the hotel concierge. That person is going to have up to the minute info.
